Q: How many dogs do you have?
A: I have 18 dogs.
Q: How old were you when you started using dogs to pull a sleigh?
A: I started dog sledding when I was 23.
Q: What commands do you use to instruct your dogs, and what do the commands mean?
A: Hike = go, whoa = stop, have a good dog = good dog 🙂
Q: How fast can you go on a dog sled?
A: I usually train at 16 km/hour.
Q: Do you have a favourite dog on your team? If so, do you keep it a secret from the other dogs?
A: Yes, my leader. You can’t hide anything from a dog!
Q: If I was going to become a musher, what is the most important thing I would need to know?
A: Patience.
Q: What has been your happiest moment while out with your dogs?
A: Giving rides to school kids and seeing the smile on their faces.
Q: What do you feed your dogs? Have you ever tasted dog food? Would you taste it if you were dared?
A: Beef, chicken and high-energy kibble. I used to eat kibble but I had to give it up. I started turning into a dog.
Q: Are you good with other animals?
A: I also like horses.
